According to WHO reports

537 million adults (20-79 years) have diabetes, or 1 in 10. This number is expected to rise to 643 million by 2030 and 783 million by 2045. Diabetes is responsible for 6.7 million deaths in 2021, or 1 every 5 seconds. Diabetes causes at least US$966 billion in economic spending, and 541 million adults have insulin resistance, putting them at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Preventing Diabetes

Maintaining a healthy weight
Be physically active at least 30 minutes of moderate, regular physical activity during the week
Following a healthy diet that limits sugars and saturated fats
Avoiding tobacco use, as smoking increases the risk of cardiovascular disease

We Stand Together to Fight Diabetes

Our commitment to our responsibility towards our community and for the purpose of providing material, psychological and scientific support and everything new related to diabetes patients. We also aim to educate citizens, especially children and pregnant diabetic patients, to prevent risk factors and complications and guide them to methods of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental bodies with relations inside and outside Iraq.
